Our controlled, factory environment also enables us to subject our homes to quality-assurance inspections far more detailed and frequent than would be economically feasible on site. The result is a structure that stands up better to both weather and time.

The Dream:

You need more space. You want to add an extra room to our home without all the headaches, hassles and unexpected expenses.

The Reality:

HandCrafted Homes now offers Creative Spaces – Easy Additions to Your Existing Home. Adding a new family room, master suite or bonus area has never been easier. Now, you can purchase as much home as you need, then expand upon it as your need for additional living space grows. With traditional stick building, an addition can take months or longer and during that time, the home is in total disrepair and disarray. Through Creative Spaces, adding space to your home has never been easier, quicker and less disruptive. Your addition will be constructed in our controlled factory environment, where weather and missing materials are never an issue. Once your Creative Space addition is constructed, we’ll bring the completed modular unit to your home intact. Within a few weeks, we’ll have completed all on-site construction and you have your new addition…all without the disruption of major demolition work.

There are several options to choose from or work with us to design your own dream! The option below is called “The First Floor Master Suite.” You can choose from one of our many ideas, reconfigure one of them, or we’ll help you design your own to fit your needs and lifestyle!

The option below is called “The Entertainment Room.” You can choose from one of our many ideas, reconfigure one of them, or we’ll help you design your own to fit your needs and lifestyle!

If you love to play golf or love to be on the water, then Tega Cay is the place for you. Only ten minutes drive from Charlotte’s Steele Creek area and bordering Fort Mill, South Carolina, you will feel like you’re living in paradise, but still close enough to get to work without dealing with a long commute.

You cannot visit Tega Cay without viewing Tega Cay Golf Club. With 27 holes of championship golf, club house and restaurant, golf and tennis shop, 4 tennis courts, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and the Glennon Community Center, it guarantees to deliver satisfaction to every member of your family.

If you’re an avid golfer, here’s a home that sits less than a mile from the clubhouse. This 5 bedroom/3 bath ranch style home at 6029 Windjammer Drive looks like a cottage in the forest covered with greenery, blanketed with flowers and shrubs, and even accompanies a fruitful fig tree flowering near the road. This is not your traditional golf course home, but don’t think cottage means quaint. This home has a stacked stone fireplace from floor to ceiling in the living room, laundry room near bedrooms, large screened-in porch off the dining room, shaded back deck, wooded fenced in backyard with shed, a basement, and a front deck. All this, plus the aforementioned 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, for an asking price of only $158,900! I’m truly surprised this gem is still left for the taking!

My favorite for-sale-home in Tega Cay is this one at 3071 Point Clear Drive. Its looks like a modern farmhouse, but the only farm animals you could see here may be a few children. This 3 bedroom/2 bath home comes move in ready with a manicured landscape and a phenomenal jungle gym that will guarantee hours of horsing around! To sweeten the pot: 75 percent or more of the home is covered in beautiful hardwood floors and there are several sitting areas in direct view of the children’s jungle gym, including a huge deck, so you can relax while the children play. And if their animal instincts go awry, Runde Park is only a mile away.

Last but definitely not least, the lake front home. Sitting at 1117 Palmyra Drive is a home that will pleasantly surprise you. When you pull onto the lot, it seems like an ordinary ranch style home, but you walk around to the back of the home and … WOW! It becomes a 1.5 story home with a screened-in porch that lines the back of the home in its entirety, a balcony decked for fine dining, and a layered landscape that sets the scene for this inviting and picturesque view of one of Lake Wylie’s finest water way inlet points on the peninsula. Whoever designed this home understands just that and took every opportunity for the inside of the home to merge with a view of this beautiful landscape. It also comes equipped with a boat lift and dock. Couldn’t you just see yourself hosting parties at this home?

As you can obviously see, Tega Cay has a lot to offer for families, golfers, and boaters. Rightly named “Beautiful Penisula” in Polynesian, Tega Cay is a cove full of treasures just waiting to be discovered. Just go to our Search by Area page and search by “York County” and “Tega Cay” to create your own personalized map to find your treasure chest (or home).
