The Oaks on Providence is an established neighborhood situated in one of my favorite towns in Union County called Waxhaw. These traditionally styled two story houses with their pretty front porches and beautifully maintained landscaped yards make you feel right at home. The Subdivision was built in the late 1990’s/ early 2000’s by Saussy Burbank Home Builders known for their architectural styling and attention to detail.
There are several homes currently listed on the market with a price range from the low to mid $200,000s, square footage between 1700 to 2600 sq feet with 3 to 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ to 3 bathrooms. . Take a look at 4103 Citation Oaks CT or 4106 Spreading Oaks CT two great examples of what you will find waiting for you at The Oaks. Schools zoned for this area are Waxhaw Elementary and Cuthbertson Middle and High School as school assignments are always subject to change be sure to check with the local school district.
One of the great things about this community for me is its close proximity to downtown Waxhaw which in turn is approximately twelve to fifteen miles to the south of Charlotte. If you are a lover of local history, you are in for a real treat! Downtown Waxhaw is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is named after the Native American Indians who inhabited the area.
Many of the charming historical buildings from the 1800′s have been preserved and now plays host to antique stores, restaurants, coffeee shops and so much more. Also, be sure to visit The Museum of The Waxhaws you’ll really appreciate the area’s rich history even more!
