A few months ago Alice and Phil approached us about constructing a guest house on their 5 acre property in Indian Trail, NC. They also wanted to discuss a master suite addition off the back of their 1930s farm house (coming soon!). After many hours of planning we recently broke ground on the 1866 sqft guest house! Charles McClure from McClure Nicholson Montgomery Architects did a fantastic job of designing a unique yet functional space. Their guest house will feature a light house-like design for a spiral staircase with windows and a two story stone fireplace. The loft area is a perfect space for future expansion. A unique porch area off of the side of the house will allow Phil a space to work from home with his geological projects. Click on the photos below to view a full sized slideshow!
A special “Thank you” to Matthys Barker, PE from Sustainable Engineering and Efficient Design, PLLC for the Structural Engineering design work and my Project Manager, Jim Reemsnyder for all of his hard work!
